ESPAÑOL

'Suite Venezolana' es una pieza en tres movimientos, cada uno basado en un símbolo patrio venezolano. Los primeros dos fueron escritos para piano solo en el año 2006 y recompuestos en agosto del 2008. El último fue compuesto en agosto 2008.

El primer movimiento, 'Orquídea', toma su nombre de la flor nacional venezolana, y es de estilo romántico. Ha sido recompuesta para piano y cuerdas. Su forma es AABB, y su tema es una versión traspuesta de 'cambur pintón', las cuatro notas del cuatro, instrumento nacional venezolano.

 El segundo movimiento, 'Araguaney', se llama así por el árbol nacional de Venezuela, y también es de estilo romántico. Ha sido recompuesta para viola sola/cuerdas ('el árbol') y vientos ('los pájaros'). De forma ABA', la armonía del puente sigue el esquema de 'cambur pintón' mencionado anteriormente, aunque invertido y también traspuesto. Es el más lento de los tres movimientos.

 El tercer movimiento, 'Turpial', debe su nombre al ave nacional venezolana. Es más barroco que romántico, siendo un fugato. Es sólo para vientos; Los 'pajaros' del segundo movimiento (flauta, oboe, clarinete) pasan a primer plano en éste. La armonía de los episodios también sigue el esquema 'cambur pintón'. Es el más alegre de los tres movimientos.

'Suite Venezolana' (Venezuelan Suite) is a piece in three movements, each one based on a Venezuelan national symbol. The first two movements were written for piano solo in 2006 and recomposed in August 2008. The last one was written in August 2008. 

 The first movement,'Orquídea', is named after Venezuela's national flower, and is Romantic in style. It has been recomposed for piano and strings. It is AABB in form, and its theme is a transposed version of 'cambur pintón', the four notes of the cuatro, a Venezuelan national instrument.

 The second movement, 'Araguaney', is named after Venezuela's national tree, and is also Romantic in style. It has been recomposed for solo viola/strings ('the tree') and three woodwinds ('the birds'). ABA' in form, the bridge's harmony follows the 'cambur pintón' pattern mentioned previously, though inverted and also tranposed. It is the slowest of the three movements.

 The thid movement, 'Turpial', is named after Venezuela's nation bird. It is more Baroque than Romantic, being a fugato. It is for woodwinds only; the 'birds' from the second movement (flute, oboe, clarinet) become the main event in this one. The episodes' harmony follow the 'cambur pintón' pattern. It is the liveliest of the three movements.

'Suite Venezolana' (Suite vénézuélienne) est une pièce à trois mouvements, chacun étant inspiré sur un des symboles nationaux vénézuéliens. Les deux premiers mouvements ont été composés pour piano solo en 2006 et recomposés en aôut 2008.Le dernier d'eux a été composé en aôut 2008.

Le premier mouvement, 'Orquídea', doit son nom à la fleur nationale vénézuélienne. Il est de style romantique. Il fut recomposé pour piano et cordes. Sa forme es AABBA, et son thème est une version transposée de 'cambur pintón', les quatre notes du cuatro, un instrument vénézuélien.

Le deuxième mouvement, 'Araguaney', doit son nom au arbre national vénézuélien, étant aussi romantique. Il a été recomposé pour viola solo/cordes ('l'arbre') et  trois vents ('les oiseaux'). De forme ABA', l'armonie de B suit la structure du 'cambur pintón' mentionné auparavant, mais invertie. Il est le plus lent des trois mouvements.

Le troisième mouvement, 'Turpial', doit son nom au oiseau national vénézuélien. Il est plus baroque que romantique, étant un fugato. Il n'èst que pour vents; les 'oiseaux' du deuxiéme mouvement (flute, hautbois, clarinette) deviennent les acteurs principaux dans celui-ci. L'armonie des episodes suivent la structure du 'cambur pintón'. Il est le plus joyeux des trois mouvements.
